Arts Stream
The College has at Present Only an Arts Stream with 08 (Eight) Subjects. Barring Assamese all the Subjects have both Honours and Pass Courses.
The Assamese Department of Maibang Degree College was established in the year 1988. Sri Rohini Das, a Subject Teacher of Maibang Higher Secondary School used to teach the students at the initial years of the establishment of the Department. Later on, Miss Sugandhi Das joined the Department as an Assistant Professor in the year 2001. She too left the Department to join at Mariani College, Jorhat, Assam in the year 2005. Since then the single post of the Department is lying vacant.
OBJECTIVE
Making Assamese subjects popular amongst the students is not a very easy task in this district as almost all the students in the district come to this college either from English medium or from Bengali medium without Assamese as a subject in their school life. They face very trouble to learn the Assamese language. Therefore, we have not easily reached the actual mark points in our aim and objects.
